Fifty kilometres north of Beirut, in the mountains of Batroun at 850 to 950 metres, this boutique winery founded in 2006 by Dr Fady Geara crafts exceptional wines overlooking the Mediterranean. Dry farming, hand-picking and sustainable practices shape every vintage — from the award-winning Cabernet Franc to the noble Cuvée du Patron.

Founded in 2009 by the five Geagea brothers in the Bekaa Valley, Château Barka farms organic high-altitude vineyards at 1,700 metres — among the highest in Lebanon. Winemaker Hicham Geagea produces around 200,000 bottles of red, white and rosé annually, traditionally hand-harvested and aged with professional care. A winery uniting family passion, sustainability and Lebanese terroir in every bottle.

Founded in 2002 by Raymond and Brigitte El Khoury on the eastern foothills of Mount Lebanon near Dhour Zahlé, with vineyards already planted in 1995 on land left fallow after the civil war. Their son Jean-Paul, trained in Reims, leads the winemaking today. Château Khoury was the first Lebanese estate to introduce Alsatian varieties such as Riesling, Gewürztraminer and Pinot Gris alongside classic Bordeaux varietals.

Founded in 1868 by French adventurer François-Eugène Brun, Domaine des Tourelles is Lebanon’s oldest commercial winery — a living testimony to over 150 years of winemaking in the Bekaa Valley. Original 19th-century equipment, ancient concrete vats and organically farmed vineyards still shape the estate today. The Issa and Issa-el-Khoury families carry this heritage forward, blending tradition with contemporary innovation.

Founded in 1926 by Meriena Gebrayel and expanded nearly a century later by her grandsons Elie and Gaby, the estate spans 55,000 m² of organically farmed hillside vineyards. The portfolio shines with the flagship L’Archange (Syrah-Cabernet-Merlot, with cocoa and liquorice notes), the approachable L’Artisan, and an elegant white from Chardonnay and Viognier.

Founded in 2002 by Captain Habib Karam, Karam Wines is the first winery in southern Lebanon’s Jezzine region — at 1,400 metres altitude. With over 55 international awards and the title ‘Best Vineyard in Asia’, this fully family-run estate combines time-honoured craft with bold innovation. Thirteen wines and the finest spirits reflect the freshness and minerality of this unique high-altitude terroir.

Founded in 2016 by award-winning winemaker Hiba Salloum, this Bekaa Valley boutique estate produces small batches from high-altitude vines — including the indigenous Obeidy. Through minimal intervention and artisanal precision, the wines reveal extraordinary depth, balance and complexity, translating Lebanon’s mineral-rich soils and dramatic temperature swings into bottles of true character.
